Cookie policy

This site uses no cookies until you ask it to. Two tools — the Meta pixel and Microsoft Clarity — are activated only if you consent. Here is what they do, what they store and how to change your mind at any time.

1. The short answer

If you do nothing, or if you decline, this site places no cookie on your device and contacts no external server: pages, typefaces and images all come from this same domain.

If you consent, two tools are loaded: the Meta pixel, which measures the results of the advertising campaigns we run on Facebook and Instagram, and Microsoft Clarity, which records anonymously how the pages are used. There is nothing else.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site saves on your device. They keep the site working, remember your choices, or gather information about how you use it. Equivalent tools, such as pixels or browser local storage, fall under the same rules.

The law draws a distinction that matters: technical cookies require no consent, because without them the site would not work or would not honour your choices; all others, including advertising and third-party cookies, require free, informed and prior consent.

Both belong to the second category. That is why they do not start on their own: neither script is even downloaded until you have consented. They are not sitting there disabled — they are absent from the page.

3. What gets installed, and only with your consent

NameSet byPurposeDuration
_fbpMotta Del Ministro (on Meta's behalf)Distinguishes your browser from others, so a visit can be attributed to a campaign3 months
_fbcMotta Del Ministro (on Meta's behalf)Records which advertisement you came from, if you arrived from an ad on Facebook or Instagram3 months
frMeta Platforms Ireland LimitedLinks the visit to the advertising profile, to measure results and build similar audiences3 months
_clckMicrosoft Ireland Operations LimitedKeeps visits from the same browser together, so they are not counted as different people1 year
_clskMicrosoft Ireland Operations LimitedJoins the pages seen in one session into a single recording1 day
CLID, MUID and othersMicrosoft Corporation (clarity.ms domain)Recognise the browser across Microsoft services. Microsoft publishes the complete, current list10 minutes to 13 months

Besides cookies, the pixel writes two technical entries into the browser's local storage — “lastExternalReferrer” and “lastExternalReferrerTime” — recording which site you came from. Meta writes them, not us, and they share the fate of the cookies: without consent they never appear.

4. Where your choice is kept

Your decision is remembered in the browser's local storage, under the name “mdm-consenso”, and not in a cookie. The difference matters: a cookie would have to be written for people who decline too, and it would be the only trace left with someone who said no. This way, whoever declines takes nothing away from our site.

That value stays on your device, is never transmitted to us and serves no purpose in recognising you. If you clear the site's data from your browser the choice disappears, and the question will be put to you again on your next visit.

5. The Meta pixel, in practice

The pixel tells Meta that a given visit to our site took place. We use it for two things: to understand how many people reached by an advertisement then arrive here, and to show our advertisements to people who have already visited the site or to an audience with similar characteristics.

On this site the pixel records page visits only. We pass it no name, no email address, no telephone number and no other contact detail: the site has no forms and collects nothing for you to fill in.

The controller for the advertising processing is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, based in Ireland; the processing involves a transfer of data to the United States, relying on the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 concerning the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Meta's own notice is available at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Declining avoids that transfer entirely, and no function of the site suffers for it: the pages remain identical and complete.

6. Microsoft Clarity, in practice

Microsoft Clarity is an analytics tool that records how the pages are used: where you scroll, where you click, how far you get before closing. It tells us which parts of the site work and which do not. It runs on every page, including the Italian «check-up finanziario aziendale».

Clarity reconstructs the session anonymously and receives no contact details from us. Text fields are masked by default, so what you type does not appear in the recording. That matters in particular for the financial check-up: the result is computed by your own device, and neither the answers nor your contact details reach Microsoft or Meta. The answers reach us only if, at the end, you choose to leave your details in order to receive the result — and in that case the privacy policy governs, not this page.

The processor is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited; the processing involves a transfer of data to the United States, relying on the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 concerning the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Microsoft's own notice is available at privacy.microsoft.com.

7. How to change your mind

At the foot of every page, beside the links to the legal documents, you will find “Cookie preferences”. It reopens the same panel you saw when you first arrived and lets you reverse your earlier choice.

If you withdraw a consent already given, the page reloads: a script that has already been downloaded cannot be uninstalled from a live page, and reloading is the only honest way to stop it for good.

You can also act directly from your browser, which lets you block or delete cookies already stored.
